Around Pokhara rim trekking is a short, scenic, rural-cultural trail that offers Panoramic Himalayan views, forests trail, lake view and village...
View DetailsThe Mardi Himal Trek is one of Nepal’s most beautiful short treks, perfect for travellers who want both adventure and cultural experiences. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna range, peaceful yet adventurous mountain trails, and warm Gurung hospitality. This journey combines scenic landscapes with authentic local life, making it a wonderful choice for those seeking connection with nature and culture.
Your trip begins with a comfortable drive to Pokhara and a relaxing evening by the lakeside. From Pritam Deurali, the trek starts as you walk through lush forests to Rest Camp, where the majestic Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) greets you. Each day brings new highlights – the 360° views from Upper Badal Danda, the magical atmosphere of High Camp, and the thrill of reaching Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500M. On the way down, you’ll visit Lwang, a traditional Gurung village where homestays let you experience local culture and daily life. The journey ends back in Pokhara, leaving you with lasting memories of mountains, culture, and warm hospitality.
Highlights of the day: Scenic drive along the Prithvi Highway following the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers. Enjoy views of terraced fields, traditional villages, and the mid-hills of central Nepal. Evening walk along the tranquil Lakeside of Pokhara, with reflections of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) in Phewa Lake.
