At Himalayan Yatri, we prioritize comfort, hospitality, and atmosphere. Depending on your trip, we arrange accommodation ranging from 3 to 5 star hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and jungle resorts in Chitwan, to the best available tea‑house lodges and guesthouses along trekking routes.
Our trips are generally based on twin‑sharing rooms with Bed & Breakfast Basis (B&B). Single supplements are available upon request.
Tea‑House Lodge Treks
- In popular trekking regions such as Everest, tea‑house lodges are well developed and cozy, while in other areas the lodges are functional, non-insulated but always welcoming.
- Rooms are offered on a twin-sharing basis and come equipped with a bed, pillow, and mattress. For added comfort, we recommend bringing your own sleeping bag.
- Meals are hygienic and freshly prepared, often using local agro‑products:
- Breakfast: Toast, Pancakes, Tibetan bread served with jam, honey, and butter; eggs prepared in various styles; porridge, muesli with hot milk; and a wide selection of teas, coffee, and more
- Lunch & Dinner: Rice, lentils, fresh vegetables, fried potatoes, chapati, mo:mo, noodles, pasta, spring rolls, soups, and other seasonal dishes.
- Fresh Fruits: Our guides also provide fresh seasonal fruits each morning or evening.
Camping/Tent Treks
- Campsites are chosen for their scenic solitude and safety, away from crowded areas.
- Each trekker is provided with a spacious two‑person tent (couples may share if they wish), complete with mattresses, ground sheets, rain flysheet, and insect netting.
- Our professional cooks prepare three hot meals daily, maintaining strict hygiene standards:
- Breakfast: cereal, porridge, pancakes, eggs prepared in different style, bread with jam, honey, butter, tea, and coffee.
- Lunch: chapati, salads, French fries, fruits, fried rice, chowmein, macaroni, and more.
- Afternoon snacks: popcorn, cookies, biscuits, and tea.
- Dinner: soup followed by rice, potatoes, fresh vegetables, lentils, sauces, and dessert.
- For those who prefer authentic Nepali cuisine, we serve traditional dishes such as Dal Bhat Tarkari and Gundruk Tarkari (dried vegetable curry).
In Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan
- Accommodation is arranged in comfortable hotels on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
- Guests can explore a wide range of restaurants offering both Western cuisine and authentic Nepali Dal Bhat (rice and lentils) at very reasonable prices.
Drinking Water during trekking journey
- Safe drinking water is provided at camps and during lunch stops.
- Water is carefully collected, treated, and boiled.
- We recommend carrying personal water‑purifying tablets (iodine or chlorine) for added flexibility.
Our Commitment: Whether you are staying in a luxury hotel, a cozy tea‑house, a simple lodge or camping under the stars, Himalayan Yatri ensures comfort, hygiene, and delicious meals to keep you energized and inspired throughout your Himalayan journey.
